Curmudgeon....problably not in the true sense of the word, Sean. I just calculated that I taught students in the medical, veterinary medical and acupuncture fields for 50 years...and practincing in the last two, for 37 of those years. I loved the formal classroom as well working with students in practice. No matter the situation, I understood myself as "giving information of many sorts" to individuals that were in the classroom or laboratory or other venue with me to recieve what I had to say. They had every right to expect that what I was saying was important for their learning; truthful (though will change as science does) and delivered as best I knew how, given the learning environment. It would be "pompus" in my view to believe that I "gifted" them with this information and just as pompous of them to say they "gifted" me with their attention. These are expectations of our everyday living experiences, whether with parents, spouses, partners, work colleagues, etc.

One of the benefits of being human, to be able to freely give… Appreciate this writing Sean, ( me too,

slowly becoming more of a curmudgeon day by day)
